Michael Penix Jr. hadn't played since tearing the ACL in his left knee on Nov. 16. Thursday night at Lambeau Field he went 18 of 25 for 256 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and the Falcons handled the Packers 35-14, the Associated Press reports via NBC News. The ground game did the heavy lifting. Bijan Robinson ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns, and Atlanta outrushed Green Bay 242 yards to 17. Drake London caught nine passes for 194 more, and he and Robinson became the first teammates to each top 150 yards from scrimmage against the Packers at Lambeau. The turn came late in the first quarter. Green Bay led 7-0 and had forced an apparent third-and-11 incompletion when Brenton Cox Jr. was flagged for roughing the passer. On the very next snap Robinson went 55 yards, and his 3-yard touchdown followed. Atlanta scored 27 straight points. With Cooper Rush starting the first two weeks, the Falcons had been the first team since the 2008 Rams to run no plays in the red zone through two games. Green Bay, which came in with an NFL-high 26 penalties, lost a home opener for the first time since 2012, ending a 13-game streak that shared the NFL record with the Miami Dolphins.
